Bamboo Flute
Description
This early 1900’s sho or mouth organ is traditionally used in Gagaku, the music of the Japanese court. The pipes, having been constructed from bamboo dating over 100 years, are arranged in a circular fashion extending from the top of a wooden wind chamber. Japan. Ca. 1900.
